The World’s First Virtual Clinic for Schizophrenia

Care Together Health is a new healthcare company seeking to provide first class psychiatric care for people who live in areas where quality mental healthcare is either too expensive or simply not available. Our focus is on treating serious mental illnesses, especially schizophrenia.

We combine novel and clinically validated approaches for treating schizophrenia with methods for delivering virtual care already common in other parts of medicine.

• Our “virtual clinic” connects our members to our healthcare professionals using their smart phones.

• Each member is assigned a care team including a psychiatrist, a nurse trained in psychiatry, a counselor, and a care coordinator.

• We use a combination of two proved best-in-class psychiatric medications, with dosing carefully tailored for each person.

• Our members participate in regular online group meetings with other members, so they can share experiences and support each other in their journeys.

• We focus on healthy lifestyles, including food and exercise. If a member is a smoker, we actively work with them to help them to quit smoking.

One way we can provide quality care at an affordable cost is by involving a trusted family member or friend as a part of the care team. This person helps by performing a few essential tasks that are usually done by a medical professional. We provide all the training and support this care partner needs. We also have both the member and the care partner participate together in occasional calls with our medical staff. This part of our program is why we are named “Care Together Health”.

Our goal is to make this as affordable as possible to as many people as possible, so that people covered under their state’s Medicaid program can receive the best-in-class medical care that everyone deserves.

We are currently in the process of recruiting clinicians and working with states on both medical credentialing and insurance coverage. Like many new virtual healthcare companies, we plan to start operations in a smaller number of states before expanding to cover all 50 states.
